Fibromyalgia Information

77766934Two decades have passed since the American College of Rheumatology first published classification criteria for the sickness known as Fibromyalgia. Today I entered the term “fibromyalgia” into a Google search engine; it yielded 5,650,000 results. If you did the same thing tomorrow, there could be more.

According to recent studies, 3 to 5% of this hemisphere’s population (10 million people plus) suffer with Fibromyalgia. Patients are constantly told that “it’s all in your head” or stop complaining and “learn to live with it.”

That is neither a reasonable, ethical nor a compassionate approach to a very serious problem. Just because modern medicine cannot find the cause or the cure for an illness, patients should not be charged with making up the symptoms. Constant, extreme pain alters lives.

Plus, no reasonable person makes a habit of returning to the doctor time and time again to spend more money, waste valuable time or constantly complain unless something is very wrong. Anyone would rather live a healthy, happy life and certainly not visit the doctor’s office, correct? Of course the answer is, “Yes!”

Note about Fibromyalgia:

Fibromyalgia Syndrome (or FMS) is a lousy, feel-bad illness with a hallmark symptom of widespread pain. Most people suffer with some degree of dysfunctionality compared to a healthy individual. FMS is also a multi-symptom illness. Briefly, let’s consider the facts and any valid answers that we can find.

Know in your heart that you have located a valuable resource in:

  • 4) in me, Cinda Crawford, a previous sufferer of both Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome who is now well and working to help other people like “you” get well!

It really bothers me to see people endure poor treatment and hear disparaging remarks from narrow-minded members of the medical profession, their friends, co-workers and family. Imagine…the innocent patient trudging along, feeling and hurting so badly and wearing his or her best intentions like a badge of courage, while suffering and completely miserable.

This is the life for many people with Fibromyalgia. In desperation, they spend a lot of money in the process of looking for answers of how to get well. After jumping through all of the hoops, they often remain sick and still unable to work, participate in hobbies or enjoy life. I don’t want that for you and, thank goodness, you may have a way out of this dilemma!

This isn’t right and it’s time for it to stop! So please take the time to check how I got well and I’ll tell you all about it.

A famous person once said (paraphrased), lunacy is doing the same things over and over again while expecting a different result!

I’m doing my part to bring an end to this madness. I encourage you to join me in getting well, all the while getting access to the best Fibromyalgia information around.
